I grew up in the Midwest and my parents instilled the value of hard work into me at a young age. My sister and I were the Dream Team when it came to babysitting and my first "real" job was in eighth grade at the local photography studio developing film and teaching people how to use the touchscreen kiosk to print their digital photos, which was a brand-new concept at the time. I have been playing the piano since second grade and the violin since sixth. During high school, I was lucky enough to play in numerous honors orchestras and competed at the state level on the piano. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my friends + family and riding my unicycle.

Public relations is still a new profession considering it did not formally take flight until the early 1900s. Many people still do not fully understand what PR professionals do and the impact they can have on a business or brand. My ethics, morals and responsibilities are my first priorities working in PR. My strengths as a public relations professional are in the entertainment industry, the non-profit sector, branding solutions and organizational and strategic communication. While I am a hard worker and willing to try new things, there are simply some things I cannot and will not do because they conflict with my personal distinction between right and wrong. A few of the actions I find unethical and therefore will not do for a company include lying to the media or the public, withholding vital information and not properly taking responsibility for wrongdoings. In the end, I always keep the public's best interests in mind.

In the age of digital technology, I could not be happier being a graphic designer. I love how graphic art is one of the most powerful forms of communication. Whether it is New York City buses decorated in a colorful advertisement, interactive displays in museums or anything in between, graphics entice people and motivate them to do something. My strengths as a graphic designer lie in web design, video production, photo manipulation, package design and book design + production.

I am new to the photography scene but am thoroughly enjoying the skills I have acquired, people I have photographed and emotions I have been able to capture. Photography is a medium that allows an artist to capture so many different moments in time. When I look back at some of the greatest news stories in history, they all have captivating pictures accompanying them telling a part of the story words simply cannot tell. As a photographer, I capture those strong emotions that tell the stories of people's lives.
